Overview
We are looking for a Database Administrator DBA to manage maintain and monitor SQL Server databases while ensuring the health performance and availability of our data services In this role you will analyze and optimize queries stored procedures views functions indexes and ETL processes troubleshoot locking blocking and deadlock issues manage database users permissions and security requirements and implement auditing and change tracking mechanisms You will collaborate closely with BI Data Engineering Infrastructure and Product teams to improve the quality and efficiency of data services and you will create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
Responsibilities
Manage maintain and monitor SQL Server databases
Ensure the health performance and availability of data services
Analyze and optimize queries stored procedures views functions and indexes
Identify and resolve locking blocking and deadlock issues
Analyze and optimize ETL processes
Manage database users permissions and security requirements
Implement and monitor database auditing and change tracking mechanisms
Collaborate with BI Data Engineering Infrastructure and Product teams to improve the quality and efficiency of data services
Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in SQL Server Administration
Strong knowledge of T SQL Query Tuning and Execution Plan analysis
Strong knowledge of Performance Tuning
Strong understanding of Indexing locking blocking and Deadlock troubleshooting
Solid understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and ETL processes
Familiarity with High Availability concepts Always On Replication Log Shipping
Familiarity with Windows Server
Proficiency in SSIS
Familiarity with software development and programming concepts
Familiarity with database Auditing Monitoring and Troubleshooting
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
High sense of ownership and accountability
Effective communication and cross functional collaboration skills
Ability to learn quickly adapt to change and manage priorities in a dynamic and agile environment
