About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Sourcing Specialist to join Digikala s Commercial team responsible for sourcing and purchasing a wide range of stationery writing instruments notebooks paper products art supplies pencil cases school bags backpacks and office and educational supplies
The primary objective of this role is to identify and develop a reliable supplier network negotiate competitive purchasing prices and commercial terms ensure timely product availability particularly during the back to school season expand product assortment and maintain category profitability
Key Responsibilities
Identify evaluate and onboard reliable manufacturers importers and distributors across stationery writing instruments notebooks paper products art supplies school bags and school supplies
Negotiate purchasing prices discounts payment terms delivery schedules return policies and other commercial agreements with suppliers
Plan purchases place orders and follow up on supply activities based on sales performance inventory levels demand forecasts and promotional campaigns particularly during the back to school season
Monitor market and competitor pricing to optimize purchasing costs and profit margins across assigned product categories
Expand the product portfolio by identifying reputable brands best selling products and market trends while addressing assortment gaps
Collaborate with Warehouse Operations Finance and Sales teams to ensure timely deliveries resolve order discrepancies and follow up on supplier commitments
Analyze sales performance gross profit supply fulfillment rates inventory turnover and slow moving products and develop corrective action plans
Verify the quality authenticity and commercial specifications of purchased products and follow up on delivery shortages returns and quality related issues
Requirements
2 4 years of relevant professional experience preferably in sourcing and purchasing stationery writing instruments notebooks paper products or educational and office supplies
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Industrial Management Industrial Engineering Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred
Hands on experience in sourcing and purchasing stationery writing instruments paper products or educational and office supplies
Strong knowledge of stationery brands manufacturers importers wholesalers and distribution networks
Strong commercial negotiation supplier evaluation and long term supplier relationship management skills
Ability to analyze sales inventory purchasing costs and profit margins and make data driven decisions
Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel analytical reporting and order tracking
Familiarity with purchasing planning inventory management and seasonal demand particularly during the back to school season
Strong attention to detail follow up skills accountability problem solving abilities and cross functional collaboration
Ability to conduct in person market and supplier visits and consistently follow up on purchase orders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in direct purchasing from stationery manufacturers and suppliers along with familiarity with domestic and imported brands
Experience in supply planning for peak back to school sales periods
Familiarity with e commerce operations
