Job Responsibilities
bull Review and evaluate civil and structural engineering drawings designs and calculations including industrial structures silos towers and foundations for heavy and dynamic equipment
bull Conduct technical feasibility assessments of project sites identify site constraints and construction risks and recommend appropriate engineering solutions
bull Coordinate with mechanical piping electrical and other engineering disciplines to resolve design clashes and ensure engineering integration
bull Prepare and review technical specifications quantity take offs Bills of Quantities BOQs cost estimates and technical tender documents
bull Supervise civil construction activities including excavation soil improvement piling foundation works reinforced concrete structures and heavy steel structures
bull Verify the quality of construction materials and execution through site inspections and review of relevant laboratory and field test results
bull Evaluate contractors technical performance and review progress statements executed quantities site measurements and supporting documentation
bull Monitor the physical progress of civil and structural works track major construction material quantities and coordinate with the Project Management Office PMO to assess schedule and execution deviations
bull Review proposed design changes assess their technical implications and follow up on the required engineering review and approval processes
bull Identify technical and construction risks prepare periodic technical reports and document project challenges and lessons learned
Qualifications and Requirements
bull Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized university A master s degree in a related discipline is an advantage
bull Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in industrial or infrastructure projects including both engineering technical office work and field construction supervision
bull Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles foundation design reinforced concrete and steel structures silos and foundations for dynamic equipment
bull Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with structural analysis and design software particularly ETABS
bull Ability to supervise construction activities control construction quality perform quantity take offs and cost estimates review progress statements and monitor project progress
bull Familiarity with engineering standards technical specifications tender documents engineering change control and risk management processes
bull Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings calculations technical standards project documentation and correspondence with contractors and consultants
bull Ability and willingness to travel domestically as required by project needs
