We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer COO to join our client a company operating in the international trade sector to oversee and optimize the company rsquo s end to end operational activities with a strong focus on logistics operational planning inventory management and warehousing This role combines operational leadership supply chain coordination and process optimization to ensure the efficient movement storage and distribution of goods improving operational efficiency optimizing costs strengthening planning and inventory control and ensuring seamless coordination across import logistics warehouse and commercial functions
Key Responsibilities
bull Develop and execute the company rsquo s operational strategy ensuring alignment with business objectives commercial priorities and overall performance targets
bull Oversee end to end logistics operations including international transportation freight coordination customs clearance domestic distribution and delivery planning
bull Lead operational planning and scheduling processes aligning import shipments product availability warehouse capacity and customer delivery requirements
bull Establish and optimize inventory management processes including stock monitoring replenishment planning inventory turnover and slow moving or obsolete stock control
bull Coordinate closely with procurement sales finance and external logistics partners to ensure operational alignment and uninterrupted product flow
bull Monitor and optimize logistics warehousing transportation and inventory related costs while maintaining service quality and operational reliability
bull Establish standardized operating procedures performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to improve operational visibility accountability and process consistency
bull Identify operational bottlenecks assess risks and implement process improvements to enhance productivity reduce delays and minimize operational losses
bull Lead develop and manage operational teams fostering a performance driven culture focused on efficiency accountability and continuous improvement
bull Oversee the use and improvement of ERP warehouse management and inventory control systems to strengthen operational planning stock visibility and data accuracy
bull Ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations import requirements warehouse safety standards and relevant operational procedures
What You Bring
bull 10 years of professional experience in operations logistics supply chain or related fields with a proven track record in senior operational management
bull Strong hands on experience in logistics management preferably within international trade import or distribution businesses
bull Demonstrated expertise in operational planning shipment scheduling resource allocation and coordinating multiple operational workflows
bull Solid experience in warehouse management inventory control stock reconciliation replenishment planning and warehouse process optimization
bull Strong understanding of international transportation freight forwarding customs clearance import procedures and domestic distribution operations
bull Proven skills in optimizing operational costs improving inventory turnover reducing delivery lead times and enhancing overall operational efficiency
bull Experience in implementing operational KPIs standard operating procedures and performance monitoring systems
bull Familiarity with ERP systems warehouse management systems WMS and inventory planning tools
bull Proven leadership experience with skills in managing cross functional teams and coordinating effectively with commercial procurement finance and logistics stakeholders
bull Strong analytical organizational and problem solving skills with a data driven approach to operational decision making
