Overview We are looking for a scientific article writer to prepare a full structured draft of a biomedical narrative review article The goal of this role is not to deliver the final fully polished manuscript but to produce a comprehensive well organised first draft that Covers all major themes and subtopics Integrates and cites the relevant literature Provides a clear logical structure and flow This draft will then be used by us as the basis for paraphrasing rewriting and shaping the final article You are therefore responsible for Identifying and organising the key literature Extracting and summarising important content with proper citations Structuring the narrative and sections coherently Producing a complete detailed draft that we can later refine and rewrite Collaboration Type Location Project based engagement focused on one narrative review with potential for improvement to a full time job if the collaboration goes well Your main deliverable is a complete well structured draft article with references ready for us to paraphrase and rewrite Emphasis on Coverage and organisation of the literature Quality and clarity of structure Correct and consistent referencing Geographically flexible remote work is possible Physical presence required only in exceptional cases Strong written English required journal level clarity is a plus but we will do the final rewriting and polishing Core Mission Responsibilities Your mission is to produce an end to end initial draft of a narrative review article Topic Understanding Outline Discuss and refine the general scope and boundaries of the review with us Propose a clear outline sections subsections and adjust it based on feedback Literature Search Organisation Search identify and collect relevant papers from major databases e g PubMed Scopus Google Scholar Organise the literature by theme mechanism or conceptual category Maintain a structured record of which papers support which parts of the draft Drafting Copy Organise Cite Extract key points findings and arguments from the selected literature Write a continuous draft that Covers all agreed sections Clearly indicates which ideas come from which references Includes citations wherever needed You may use copy paste with proper attribution and citation as part of building the draft provided Sources are clearly referenced The structure ordering and connections between sections are your own Ensure that the draft is readable and logically coherent even before final paraphrasing Referencing Documentation Use a reference manager Zotero Mendeley EndNote etc or maintain clean citation lists Keep references properly formatted and consistent Provide us with The draft Word Google Docs or similar The reference list library e g bib ris or exported reference file You will Own the timeline for delivering the outline and the full draft Incorporate one or two rounds of structural coverage feedback e g adding removing sections adding missing topics Focus on content completeness structure and referencing knowing that we will do the final paraphrasing and stylistic refinement Preferred Background Experience Education one or more of Medicine Biomedical Sciences Molecular Biology Neuroscience Pharmacy or related health biomedical disciplines Alternatively strong self taught background plus clear evidence of working with biomedical literature Experience At least 2 3 years of experience with academic biomedical writing or research assistance including Literature reviews for theses dissertations or research projects Drafting sections of scientific articles reports or reviews Comfortable working with primary research papers and review articles Experience using scientific databases and reading full text articles not just abstracts Experience with reference management tools and citation styles Preferred 4 years of experience and a track record of co authoring or drafting scientific articles especially review papers where you had a significant role in literature collection and drafting Previous work where you were responsible for preparing initial drafts that others later refined or finalised Skills Technical Academic Skills Ability to efficiently search and filter biomedical literature Comfortable extracting key information methods findings limitations from papers Familiarity with reference managers and standard citation styles Solid ability to produce clear logically structured drafts in English Analytical Structural Skills Ability to organise large amounts of literature into a coherent outline and narrative Sensitivity to evidence quality and limitations e g distinguishing strong vs weak studies Ability to connect ideas across multiple papers into a unified draft structure Application Process
